The joy and connection that can only be understood by another mother, when you give birth to a child; but the emotion that fills your heart from knowing the hatred and the prejudices they face as they immediately exit the womb…what do you do?
The anxiety attached from the thought of someone attempting to take from you what you’ve purchased with your hard-earned money, through the fruits of your labor; but the frustration of being stereotyped and questioned on “what you do for a living,” and made to feel as if you’re required to justify why you have what you have – what do you do?
The violence, senseless shootings, and disregard for life within your own community, but then the worry of being stopped or calling for help by SOME of those who have enlisted to serve and protect, what do you do?
The feeling and stress of being hated for the color of your skin AND who you represent…Your Savior (Jesus is my Savior, not my religion); but He told you the world would hate you because it hated Him. What do you do?
You want your child to have the best educational experience possible, so you place them in school systems that provide the opportunities you’re seeking; however, your babies just don’t feel “comfortable” or welcomed. If you choose to send them to public schools, there is another set of circumstances that are presented. The educators desire to make a difference but are expected to pull a “rabbit from their hat,” doing more with fewer resources, surrounded with over-populated classrooms, and working with children who have been forced to experience home situations and hardships that some adults will NEVER understand. School administrators are encouraged to stand even-keeled, in the face of children who are attempting to maintain their own innocence and told to come to an environment where they must…focus…and learn. The children cannot comprehend why they are made to live in such dire situations. They begin directing their anger towards those attempting to help them, or other children and it seems to be a never-ending cycle because THE LOVE OF MANY HAS GROWN COLD.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
You are expected to be a beacon of hope and light. You are supposed to tell others to not give up. You tell others do not quit. You are supposed to be strong, but what do you do when you need encouragement?
I’ll tell you. Yep…I sure will. Do you remember who your Father is or do you KNOW who your Father is? I have said it before and I will say it again. Satan is doing his part, but what are we as believers doing to prepare the way? Whether you desire to accept it or not, Jesus is returning soon. All the daily news, both locally and nationally, truly crushes my heart, but what are we doing to bring God’s Kingdom here?
…”thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven,” is a portion of the Lord’s prayer from Matthew 6:10. Here is a thought: How are we going to get the Kingdom of God and His will done here on earth, if we do not commission and live a life to welcome God’s Kingdom? The state of the world is crazy and to be living in times such as these is almost unbelievable, but we should not be surprised.
And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. Matthew 24:10 (NLT)
Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
Matthew 24:12 (NLT)
What do you do?
1. Do the word!
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:21-22 (NLT)
2. Stand
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17 (NLT)
3. Get the correct weaponry
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV)
4.Fight
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV)
Don’t be partially committed, be fully persuaded.
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 4:21 (KJV)
