The law of attraction says: “Like attracts like.” Basically what this means is if you give out negative energy, that is what you should expect in return. Likewise, if you focus on positive thoughts, you will produce positive results. You attract what you are.
If your physical appearance seems to be angry, hmmm, you’ll probably find yourself by yourself, or talking to people who share the same emotion as you. Now there’s a big ball of huff and puff in the room. If your demeanor seems to be sad or one that always complains, hmmmm, you’ll probably be the one who feels alone, but yet not realizing you’re the source of isolation. Why? People look for others to uplift and encourage and who have a positive impact. Most people do not want to engage in a convo that will make them feel worse.
What we fail to realize is that energy is transferable; it’s often called human magnetism. You either draw people to you or you drive them away. For example, a physical touch produces energy. You don’t believe it? Hug someone you like or want to be with.
Or if you’re having a heart-to-heart with a confidant, a genuine hug makes the person receiving the hug feel welcomed. Your energy can repel or attract someone.
Jesus spoke about this philosophy as well. You were drawn to the Lord through someone that demonstrated love:
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3
You were seeking for something. You felt something was missing and then you felt the love of Christ, through one of His representatives. If we are what we attract, who is attracted to you? Have you made JESUS irresistible? If others are drawn to you, are you using the attraction to pull them from death?
If we would spend a piece of our time learning how to be empowered by the Holy Spirit, we would learn that He is the source of power, which allows us to do all things (Philippians 4:13). Oh My Father- this power comes from Jesus through salvation (deliverance from the power of sin)
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16 NKJV
And keeps us secure in the hand of our Father. When you read this scripture, remove the name “Jerusalem” and put your name.
“Like birds flying about, So will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; Passing over, He will preserve it.” Isaiah 31:5 NKJV
As you continue your day, think on these:
1. What types of people are attracted to you? Is it those that enjoy talking negatively about others? Or those who seek the wisdom of Christ from you?
2. What have you done to make yourself irresistible to the Holy Spirit? Does He desire to be with you or does your sinful nature stink in His nostril?
3. If it were your funeral today, what would people genuinely say about you? Did you make an invisible God, visible through you?
What are you attracted to? Who is attracted to you?
Thank you Lord!
