Who is counting on you? In other words, who is depending on you to be the best you? Do you have children that rely upon you?
Do you have aged parents who rely upon you to take care of them?
Do you work for a business that is dependent upon you to put together a presentation to obtain a new client? Maybe you are a liaison between the business and technical departments of the company and the technology department is counting on you to express to the business department, the importance of migrating to a new system.
Do you have a brother or sister in the Lord who relies upon you to give them an encouraging word for their situation? Maybe they are beginning a new life in Christ and are uncertain of how to reach Him.
The point is that we all have dependencies. Your vehicle depends on you to gas it up, so it can go. The grocery store depends on its customers to purchase items to remain in business. Your body depends on you to rest at night so you can function the next day (I know I’m speaking to myself)We have many things and people pulling on us. But who are you depending on? Do you rely/depend on Jesus?
Whether you realize it or not, when you pray, you show your dependence on God and your need for him. What are we counting on Him for?
- Salvation
- Hope
- Peace
- Strength
- Healing
- Comfort
- Wisdom
- Life
- Protection
- Love
- Answers to our prayers
Whether we acknowledge our dependency on Jesus or not, our next breath comes from Him. We are nothing without Christ and we cannot do anything without Him.
We actually depend on the Lord for everything.
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,” II Corinthians 3:5 NKJV
Can He depend on you? He is also depending on us. An invisible God becomes visible through us in how we represent Him. Jesus depends on us…
- To be a living sacrifice
- To live with integrity
- To continue to abide in Him
- To believe Him
- To know Him
- To compel others to follow after the example He has given
Be Visible! You are needed.
