Have you ever had a stomach virus? It starts with one person in your household and then somehow it spreads rapidly. I know about this little big all too well. It seems to run rampid through my house, from having a kid I just about every age group. If one experiences the virus, best believe a couple days later, one of the other children will go through it.

While making its round through the house, have you noticed that the stomach Gurkha does not work its way back to you again? It seems that our bodies become immune to the virus. 

 Just as our bodies fight off viruses and illnesses, we have to fight off sin. We have to become immune to sin. 

What is our immune system in the Lord?

Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

To become immune to anything, you have to fight it off! We should get to the point that our spiritual immune systems are so strong, when we see sin approaching, our minds and bodies are able to dodge the darts like the characters from the movie The Matrix. 

Persevere and keep fighting for your life! You have been given the tools to win, use them.
