When seeking for a place to dine for a special event such as an anniversary, birthday celebration, or reception, we tend to research restaurants which have a reputation of quality. Not only in the food being served, but also the service provided to its patrons.
There is something about dining at a restaurant with waiters who take pride in their service and who they represent. The dinner seems to be much more enjoyable. The evening could be classified as perfect. Being served makes you feel special – knowing that your food is prepared to your liking as opposed to receiving food through a drive-thru or buffet.
Whether you have dined and the best of the best, what you may not realize is that you have been served the best of the best. The question then becomes, did you accept what is on the menu?
“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 NKJV
God sent His best representation of Himself. Jesus humbled Himself and came to this world, to offer us life eternal.
Just because you say you will eat, does not imply you will become full. Daily bread is being served along with living water. Are you seeing a quick, drive thru meal with minimal to no nutritional value, or sustainment to get through to your next meal?
“Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” John 6:32-33, 35 NKJV
You’ve been served. Are you ready to eat?
