In the book of Genesis, God told Noah to build a boat. We know it as the Ark. The Ark was a physical manifestation of what had already been concluded to take place in the spiritual realm. In other words, everything happens in the spiritual, before it manifests itself in the natural realm.
So is this the case with life. Before you witness the construction of a building, the launch of a business, the dream to pursue a career, it has already been established spiritually. You had a thought, a dream, a vision. You then began to devise a plan to see it come into existence.
God instructed Noah to place one door on the side of the Ark.
You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. Genesis 6:16 (NKJV)
This one door served as the salvation for Noah and his family to escape the flood.
How ironic is it that there was only one door, or was it ironic?
Just as judgement came to the world with the flood, God will send judgment again. Only this time, it will be with fire. We have all sinned and fallen short of our purpose – the purpose that God has for our lives – the reason why we even exist. WE. HAVE. ALL. COME SHORT!
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
However, our loving Father provided a door – just as He did for Noah. And all who enter this door, will escape the judgment which is certain to come.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus Christ is our salvation – THE DOOR! He paid it all so that we can escape. God provided an escape route. God has set before us an open door. Everyone who asks for forgiveness, repents and trusts in the name of Jesus, will be saved from destruction.
There is only one way. What’s stopping you from knocking on the door?
Jesus is our ONE door to salvation that saves us from eternal judgment.
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9 (NKJV)
