I Am Thankful

You don’t sing like you used to.
You don’t praise like you used to.
You don’t pray like you used to.
You don’t love like you used to.
You don’t seek like you used to.
What’s wrong?

  • Has the noise of the world drowned the stillness of my voice?
  • Have you listened to the voice of religious folk soo much that mine is irrelevant?
  • Have your desires for a relationship with a man/woman surpassed your desire to have a relationship with me?
  • Is the love and acceptance of others more important than the love I’ve given AND shown you?
  • Has your personal desires superseded my purpose for you?
  • Has the cares of this world, most of which you decided to get involved with, put out your passion to serve me?
  • You really can go hours or days without having any thought of Me and it is because of me that you still have hours or days of life?
  • Do you have ANY desire to spend time with me?

Your worship is so “dry”. Your private prayer feels cold and distant. You seem to be more concerned about physical health, well-being, and comfort than about the well-being and condition of your soul. The only thing I’ve done is been guilty of proving how much I really love you.

“But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So, as you sit around your tables with your family, smiling, taking pictures and posting them- remember when everyone has gone back to their normal routine, I am still here. When the comfort food is gone and you are left with your feelings missing “something,” it is because you are. You haven’t given yourself any spiritual food.

  1. I am the something that your spiritual being is craving but you continue to starve.
  2. I am the someone that can give you the fulfillment you crave.
  3. I am the source for your resource.

Stop placing distance between you and I, based on what YOU think I think of you. No matter what you’ve done, I’ll always love you. Now more than ever, I need you to know me. There will come a time when you will seek for me and only the words – my words that you have hidden in your heart, will comfort you. My enemy is becoming stronger because many have slowly distance themselves from me and they have no idea. If you do not wrap yourself in my love…he will deceive you and overtake you. Hurry please. I’ve been ready to bring you into my presence, but if I return now, you will not be with me. So I have delayed my return, just for you.

Return to me…and I’ll return to you!
Love always,

Your Father- God, from the spiritual imagination of Kimberly Lock.

Oh my Father. I am thankful for your love, that you continue to demonstrate consistently and without failure. Forgive me, when I have said “no” when you said yes. Jesus, I give you my yes. Even when the work you require of me falls beyond my level of comfort. I recognize that someone’s soul cry may require me to stretch. When I am weak, you are strong through me.

Jesus, I am thankful for you! You know what you are doing. If a portion of that has to be done through me- so be it! Nothing else matters – I don’t matter without you. I have no purpose without you. I. Am. Nothing. Without. You.

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him—” ‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9, 14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You are More Than Enough

Have you ever had feelings of inadequacy? You know, the feelings of not being enough? While some of you may utter the word “no” with your mouths, your thoughts and behaviors may prove you wrong. Let me be clear: Having a lot of responsibilities does not provide proof of being enough. It’s probably the exact opposite- stretching yourself thin to be involved in everything so that you may feel that you ARE “enough.”

There have been many things entrusted to me in life. On some occasions, I began to feel as if they were burdens more than blessings. That’s just me being real. There are also times where you may feel confident in the ability to manage a lot. I’m certain at some point in your management you may also just wonder: “Am I doing anything well?”

Here’s a subset of my list of things. Most times, if there is an issue related to technology, my family will contact me and it makes sense. I spent 9 years of my life obtaining educational degrees in this field. Then I have my 5 children who are all at different stages in education. When they have homework and projects, guess who else does also?

img_6272

The children also have their extracurricular activities, I have books that I am on the cusp of starting and completing, assisting my husband with managing the business aspects of the church, and his music career, maintaining our home, trying to balance the needs of those who ask for spiritual guidance…and then the calling to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ…the list continues on and on and on and I didn’t even mention the well-being of my own self. The things I’ve listed are not burdens by any means; however, the requirements associated with fulfilling these roles can be burdensome, especially when somewhere in your life, you have felt inadequate.

There are so many things I’m responsible for and there just never seems to be enough hours in the day to complete them to the level of completion that I desire. Sometimes it feels as if I am doing enough just to keep things from sinking. What about you? I’m sure if you paused, you could list a number of responsibilities that you have as well and how you are called upon by family, friends, co-workers, management, church leaders, and even the pressure you place on yourselves to make it work! Do you feel like you are just getting by?

For me, it’s that last responsibility on my list above that has left me often with feelings of inadequacy: that of being a minister. So with some assistance, I began to unravel the thoughts in my mind as to why I have felt this way. Why couldn’t the Lord choose me? Why do I feel as if I am not enough to spring forth His word in power? Listen, the sheer thought that He actually desires for me to do this is beyond humbling. I mean I have been searching for way to place my feelings in words and I simply cannot. It’s almost like being out of breath and falling to my knees in an emotional disarray of disbelief…then the thoughts race in my mind: “but will they listen? Will the heart’s of the people be drawn to the love of my Savior? I know what I have to do, and I am certain of the calling, but will He be pleased?”

img_6273

So I had to unravel, dissect, and unpack years of luggage that I have been carrying around, in my mind, and I came to this conclusion: With my dad not having any desire to pursue a relationship with me throughout my life (4 years old up until now) had left me with feelings of “why wasn’t I good enough?” He has had 3 other children, with me being the oldest. My sister, who was born after me, has an estranged relationship as well. The two younger (another sister and brother) are in my dad’s life of which I am certain it is because he is married to their mother.

This buried emotion has impacted my life in so many ways. Prior to marriage, when past relationships would fail as a result of cheating, the same thought would cross my mind. When I was not chosen for jobs or positions, that same question would be the focal point of my inner conversation. And now the question resurfaces but only this time it’s changed from:

“Why was not I good enough” to: “Am I good enough?”

This cloudy thought has kept me spiritually covered for years. Think about this: Although the clouds in the sky prevent the sun from shining, they are just a temporary covering. They don’t literally stop the sun from shining – they just block the sun and prevent your eyes from seeing the sun in its full potential (Oh my God- that’s it! Here comes the word…)

The cloudy thought of worthlessness, although present in my life for years, was only a temporary covering; but it could not stop the truth from springing forth. THAT. IS. IT!

As I began to look in the mirror and became more aware of who I am, I began to throw away negative thoughts and I came to some realizations:

Just because I feel “it” doesn’t make it real.

Just like the clouds cover the sun, my life’s journey with relationships, stemming from the lack of a relationship with my dad, had prevented me from seeing the truth. I felt abandoned. I felt worthless. I felt angry and upset but those feelings did not determine who I am today. With all of my responsibilities, there are days where I might feel like I’m not doing anything well, but it doesn’t make it true and it only becomes real when I act on the belief that these thoughts are real. Guess what? This applies to you also.

Let me help you today. Hear this: The fact that we have weaknesses doesn’t make everything about us weak.

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

2 Corinthians 12:9 says that God’s power is made perfect in weakness.

Hello somebody!! When you begin to have thoughts of inadequacy, remember that your ability is not based on what you can do. Bae baeeee your ability and strength come from the One who can do all things and He told us we can do all things through HIM.

I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

With the Lord working in me and through my weaknesses, I can feel the transformation from disqualified to empowered. From inadequate, to adequate.

And now we turn the page to you. You have many strengths. I dare you to sit down and write down 30 positive things about yourself. You’ll learn how and why you’re able to carry the load that you have. It’s because of the strength and power given to you and the gift placed in you long before you knew what existing even meant. Now it’s time to cultivate your gifts. Take those same 30 words you’ve listed, and speak over your life:

  • “I am worth it!”
  • “I am passionate.”
  • “I love helping others.”
  • “I care.”
  • “I am loving.”

Move beyond your past. The only time we should use the negative things done and said to us in our lives is to be an example to others and to catapult us into moving forward.

Move Forward!

The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. Job 17:9 (NLT)

Come On!

Sometimes I feel as if I am repeating myself; but if I have to continue to repeat the same things, but present differently, just so that someone truly gets it, I will do whatever it takes.

As followes of Jesus Christ, we have an obligation to properly introduce God, our Father, and not as someone who can give us something. Here’s an example. If I always introduce God as:

A supplier of needs.
A bill payer.
A case closer.
A matchmaker
A blessor…

and I never introduce you to His love or as a loving Father, then I am setting you up to only talk to him when you need something.

Here’s another example. If my children introduce me to their friends as the person they can get whatever they want, and not their mother, imagine how that would make me feel? Used. Irrelevant, and valued for what I can bring to their lives. Their friends are setup to approach me with the thought of only getting to know me to get what they want from me and not for who I am or what values I can instill in them. Imagine how God, our Father feels.

How is your Father being introduced? Are you sharing what He has taught you? Are you sharing the morals and values (character or fruit of the Spirit) that He has instilled in you?

  1. A father loves.
  2. A father corrects.
  3. A father teaches his children how to become adults and how to handle tough situations.
  4. A father teaches his children how to have respect for themselves and others.

In acts the 8th chapter. There was a man by the name of Philip. The Spirit of the Lord told Philip to get up and go in a certain direction. As he was going, Philip came across a man of high authority. Philip allowed His Father to direct Him to fulfill a specific purpose. As Philip traveled in the direction His Father, God gave, he heard the Ethiopian man reading. The Bible goes on to say that the Ethiopian man held a high ranking position for Queen Candace. Even those you think that have it all together – in high ranking positions, they need JESUS as well. What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul?

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So, the man was reading the book of Isaiah. The Spirit of God spoke to Philip and told him to go talk to the man. Philip asked the man if he understood what he was reading? The man said he couldn’t unless He had someone teach him, and Philip begins to explain. After Philips’s Bible study, the Ethiopian man determined that he needed JESUS, repentance, and desired to be baptized…at THAT moment.

If we do not teach people to repent; if we do not teach people to separate from sin, if we do not teach people to be respectful in God’s house, and if we do not teach about JESUS- how will the people experience a real relationship? How can they become passionate about someone who was not properly introduced to them? How can they expect to trust in someone in troubled times when they weren’t taught how?

Do you really know why God says separate from Sin and then He will receive us? The devil is the enemy of God. He has openly professed to exalt his kingdom above your Father. He has begun an unfriendly, backstabbing, undermining competition against your spiritual family- basically saying…”I can do what you do but better. Why are you God? I can be a God too.”

Isaiah 14:12-14
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

The enemy is doing a good job because we allow Him to. The fight is fixed. We are setup to win, but we lose because we do not have a relationship with our dad.

HEAR THIS! Anything or anyone associated with the Lord, the devil desires to destroy; that includes Which YOU!

It’s time to start introducing the children of God to their Heavenly Father so that they can have a real relationship with Him.

I Will Not Surrender!

Let us pray:

Lord we thank you for keeping us through the night. We thank you for commanding and allowing your angels of security to protect us from dangers in, around, and outside of our house.

If we are honest, we often feel trapped and surrounded by the enemy:

  • We have enemies because we are Americans.
  • We have enemies because we believe you are the true and living God.
  • We have enemies because we believe that Jesus is your Son.
  • We have enemies because of the color of our skin.
  • We have enemies in our own mind.
  • We have enemies who walk around with weapons and are pressured into destroying our communities all for association.
  • We have enemies of disease and illnesses.

Although we recognize that the enemy comes in like a flood, WE WILL NOT SURRENDER. Lord you told us that you would hold up a standard against Him, which basically means you will drive the enemy out.

“So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I know that it is impossible for you to lie, so I have no other option BUT to believe you.

I’m not coming out with my hands up waving NO flag of defeat to the devil and his imps.

I would not live in this evil and cruel world without you because it’s hopeless, sad and depressing. But even in the midst of it all, you require us to be a light.

You said no weapon formed will prosper. Jesus we are walking through this valley of death but we will not fear because you are with us. You said you are with us and you won’t leave us.

The ONLY way that I won’t have your protection is if I’m leaving. WHELP… Looks like we are stuck. I’m not leaving you! I’m not living without you. I’m not breathing without you.I cannot afford NOT to have you in my life.

Lead us and help us to navigate through this world to pull someone else out the hands of despair, self-pity, depression, and anger, that they may experience your unfailing love and protection.

I will not surrender to the enemy’s tactics. I will not surrender to the will of the enemy. I will not give up; but I will surrender to your will. For I know that if I resist…if I resist…if I resist, the enemy will flee, but I. MUST. RESIST. FIRST!!!

I humbly ask that you accept this prayer, in your precious Son Jesus’ name, amen.

What Will It Take?

Good Morning!
It’s Monday and it is a new day to begin again. How so? If we fell short at all last week (all have sinned and fallen short) we have the opportunity to ask for forgiveness and to do our due diligence to represent the Lord well this week. Just one day at a time. That’s is called mercy and Lord I am so grateful.

So, I had this crazy thought during my morning meditation. When we are talking to the Lord or about Him, we think of Him as this fictitious character, who cannot hear or see us, when it is opposite.

Psalm 34:15 (NKJV)
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.

Isaiah 59:1 (NKJV)
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

Not only can He hear and see, but also The Lord knows what we are thinking.

Psalm 139:2 (NKJV)
You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

How amazing is that? But it is because of these “supernatural” abilities that our Father possesses, that we begin to doubt His existence. Doubt leads to diminished appreciation and value of the relationship we have with Him because…He does not look or sound like us. And so, because there is not a verbal reply like speaking face to face with someone, we feel as if we are speaking to ourselves…until “it” happens. It is the thing that happens called a confirmation, validation, proof, evidence, or a testimonial that what we were speaking, was actually heard and not only heard, but also we received a reply from our Father that He indeed is real!

When it happens, we are on a natural high. We feel important. We are amazed at God and all that He does. We are humbled that He cares so much about the little things that affect our lives; however, when trials and tragedies of life strike, we forget how special we are. And so…I imagined this morning, the Lord…my Father speaking to me and I imagined Him saying something like this:

“What will it take for you to recognize how special you are to me? I have done everything I could possibly do to prove to you how much I desire you to know who I am. If you think about the world you live in, it is an inhuman thing to be able to take your own thoughts, ideas, and your character and place them within the body of another human. The only way YOU can do that is if you teach and instill it.

You read during the times of Moses where I would lead the children of Israel by fire in the night and a cloud by day. I only spoke mouth to mouth with Moses because I found righteousness in him. He only looked to me for guidance. He sought to know who I am. Then I wrote to you about my Son, your brother Jesus, who walked the same planet that you live on now, to die for the mess you would be born into.

When Jesus got up from the grave, I sent MY Spirit to comfort and lead you. You read about that but I needed you to know that what you read is real. So, once I realized that you wanted to re-establish a relationship with me and learn what I truly created you for and that the body you live in is not really you but a mere shell, I took my own Spirit and placed it within you – so you can see a glimpse of who you really are. I placed my Spirit within you so that you can feel my presence that is unlike anything you will ever experience on Earth. But for some reason, that does not seem to be enough and I know why.

It is because you have not truly surrendered to experience my presence. If you really had my Spirit within you, would you be so quick to give up on me? If you had a glimpse of my glory would you really allow these trivial things to make you doubt who I am? I am not a temporal Father. I do not enter your life for a moment and then leave you. I am eternal. I never leave. The issue is…you left me. I apparently did not have enough to offer you. I was not good enough. Apparently, I have not done enough to demonstrate to you how special you are to me.

I have a question though; Just what does the word special mean to you? Is it flowers, that wither and die in a matter of days? Is it gaze of a man or a woman, as you stare into one another’s eyes? I told you, that you were the apple of my eye…

Zechariah 2:8 (AMP)
For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent Me against the nations which plunder you for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.

Psalm 17:8 (NKJV)
Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings

…but you believe that person more than you believe me.

  • Can that person supply you with a job that you were unqualified to receive with minimal to no education? Maybe they can, but it was me that touched them to give you the job.
  • Can that person cause a hot ball of fire to appear in the same location every day and provide you warmth and daylight, of which you call the Sun?
  • Can that person protect you from unseen danger?
  • Can that person blow a form of “wind” within you called breath, that gives you life?
  • Can that person speak the word NO that will prevent death from taking your life?
  • Can that person send you dreams and visions and glimpses of what is to come?

Job 33:14-15 (NLT)
For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.

  • Can that person die for you? Sure they can, but will they and if they were willing to…just what will their death provide for you? Surely, it cannot give you life eternal.

If I did not need you, I would not have allowed you to be birthed. I placed purpose in you. I need you for a time such as this. I need you during a time where the love of many is getting colder and colder, because of sin, who comes from my enemy. Not your own fulfillment, MY purpose for you to fulfill. And yet somehow, knowing that; No…you KNOW that you have MY purpose in you to fulfill and yet somehow, knowing that is not enough for you to seek me on how to walk and fulfill it.

I have shown you that you are not a mistake, but a precious gift…My treasured possession, but you have a choice to believe and fill your mind with My truth, which will change your hearts, or listen to what others say. It is a choice you must make. In Exodus 4:10, Moses told me that he can’t do what I told him to do because he was slow of speech and tongue. In verse 11, I told Moses: “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go. I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” Moses is no more special than you. He believed me and listened to me, therefore He was able to see me work through Him and experience my Glory.

There is a special work I have for you that can only be done by you.

You proclaim defeat before giving victory a chance. I cannot lose. And you’re my child, which means I will not allow you to lose. You choose defeat when you choose my enemy (the devil) over me. If you spend your time wishing things were different, you will never get around to doing those things I have asked of you. Sometimes satan, my enemy, tries to put thoughts into your head and tell you that you are worthless. That’s when you need to remember what I told you about my enemy, the thief, who desires to steal you from me:

John 10:10 (NKJV)
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

You will settle and do everything to keep or get that person in your life, but when I tell you what I require of you, your response is: “That’s in the old testament.” I am certain that I told you I am not like you and that I do not change:

Numbers 23:19 (NLT)
God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

If I asked you to be obedient in the old testament, I am asking the same of you now. If I asked you to put me first in the old testament, I am asking that of you now. Why? Because I have always put you first, the very least you can do, is the same.”

WHAT WILL IT TAKE?

img_6146

Wait!

These children of mine.

unnamed

I promise they do not understand the word NO. For example, it’s been 4 weeks now that my husband and I began this workout regime. It also comes with an eating plan and healthy shakes. This plan is for 90 days. My kids love shakes and smoothies. So I have this one daughter, who consistently asks to taste it and I consistently say no. I have explained why she cannot have this particular one. I cannot recall how many times that I have said no, but in her mind, she feels that at some point, the answer will change; especially if she adds the word please on the end. I have another child who would always ask to taste my Red Bull energy drink when I was drinking them. Of course, the answer again would be no. Then…this young son of mine. He is in desperate need of tasting my coffee. No, no, and no again has been the answer.

I am not refusing their request just to say no or because I do not want them to have these things that I would eat or drink. I mean, I cannot let Asia taste the shakes because there is a formulated powder not created for children. I would not let Syd taste Red Bulls because – well it really was not good for me, so why would I give my daughter something that I should not drink? Coffee? Bro bro, come on! He is always off the charts with his energy. He requires no additional assistance.

We are like my children. How many times have we asked our Father, God for something? He clearly tells us no and why He says no. We begin these spiritual tantrums, constantly ask Jesus for stuff. Then, hear this: we have the audacity to use the word LOL.

“Jesus you said, ask and it shall be given. Why can’t I? This person has this or that? What did I do? Can you hear me? Please?”

img_2561

He is telling us no for a reason, but we cannot seem to believe that the Lord is in our best interest. For some reason, we think we know what is best and He does not. So we beg and plead…

please

And then, because we got on his nerve, the Lord will grant our request, just to show us we did not really need what we were asking for. Then it changes:

“Jesus forgive me. If you get me out of this…”

img_6112

If Jesus knows how many strands of hair we have…

Matthew 10:30 (NKJV) But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

would not he also know what we need, before we ask?

Matthew 6:8  (NKJV) “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

Oftentimes, the answer is not “no” it’s wait. With my children, the answer is no now, but if they wait until they come of age, they’ll be able to receive what I have, because they will be able to handle it and make an adult decision to determine if what they are asking for is of any value to them.

Oh God- that’s a word right there. If we wait until we come of age, we can receive what the Lord has for us and He can grant us our petitions because we are now strong enough and wise enough to remember who the blessing comes from anyway.

Whatever petition you have before the Lord, wait and trust Him along with the growing pains you’re experiencing. There are things in life you will have to work for and there are some things you will have to wait for. Value and enjoy the process. Our Father does not rear spoiled brats. He raises mature and grounded men and women.

1 Corinthians 13:11 (NKJV) When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Remember

I must confess this election stuff gave me some anxiety. Do I feel on edge and uneasy? Absolutely! For someone to openly express negativity  on so many issues, that causes division, makes me feel that those were inward opinions of many and someone was able to be a voice of expression. To plant a seed in the heads of my children that we will be deported to an unfamiliar country and for me to have to assure my children that this will not occur is emotionally damaging. Do I feel like crying? Absolutely. My baby cried. The first thing she says to me this morning as she wakes up and storms into my room, way before time to get up is: “Who won?” I pause because I know how sensitive Sydney is and the conversations we had just the evening before. I tell her and she breaks down as if to believe…we have to leave the United States. img_6082

I’m human shoot. I’m in the world, but not of it.

And…after all of the emotion, I come back down to reality. The Lord has kept us through more horrific circumstances. Let’s be clear: there were some decisions made that came from the White House during every administration, even during Obama’s, administration that blatantly went against the word of God. So where does your hope reside?

Somehow, the Lord always send consolation through and by His word.

Remember. Always remember the word of God and DO it. If you can read it, you should be able to do it. Just think about this for one minute. If by chance the enemy of Christ has been revealed as some believed, what did our Father tell us?

Psalms 23:5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil;

God is in control. I said this in Monday’s devotion. My Father is bigger than the Presidential Election.

You, as a believer, have a weapon that is greater than any political party. It is not prefaced on finding dirt or uncovering the most heinous or abominable accusation against another. The weapon we have is prayer! We are able to petition God, in the name of Jesus and by way of the Holy Spirit…who…by the way, happens to be our Father, and who made Heaven and Earth.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV)
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

Set your hope on things above and not things on the Earth. Remember who is in control. Remember.

If not anything else, this process has gotten our attention. Remember where  you stand. Remember who you’re standing for. Remember who is in control. One thing that President Elect Donald Trump did that most confessing Christians don’t do is…he believed. So I ask you:

  • What and who do you believe in?
  • Will you stand firm on the principles of God, regardless of what anyone says or thinks?
  • Will you run for Jesus by any means necessary?

Remember who and whose you say that you are.

What will be stronger in your life? Your conviction for Jesus or your emotion?

Remember!

Psalms 27:1-3 (NKJV)
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.

Bigger!

It’s Monday and thank God for it, but it doesn’t always begin on a good note. Especially when the weekend just flies and not floats. On this week, I wanted to start the morning and week the correct way. Therefore, I decided to let you all into my worship moment. Ohhh I’m still in it so just bear with me.

When I think about my Savior, I begin to realize just how big He is and has been throughout my life. When YOU begin to think about the Jesus, do you really understand how big He is?

Pause for a second.

First, reflect on how big God has been in your life. Think about how He has shown up on your behalf. Just a moment….

pause…

pausing…

paused!

Even after the recollection of your past, and how JESUS has come through…HE IS BIGGER THAN THAT! My God- He is Sovereign.

“But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭73:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sovereign: Having unlimited power or authority.

Someone may be reading this and saying: “He’s not that big for me. He has not come through for me.” Well, have you approached our Father according to His principles, for Him to show you just how big He is? Once again, have you separated yourself? Have you repented? Have you been talking to your Father and not everyone else? Have you believed and not doubted?

I always listen to a song that takes me to my Father. You see, praise brings Him where we are. But worship??? Worship takes you into the place where the Spirit of the Lord dwells. He is seeking for someone to worship Him.

“But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.” ‭‭John‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So since He is looking, baeeee baeeeeee…I want Him to find me in the place where He is looking. Ohhhh GLORRYYYYY!

So…so so so…there is a song I listened to called: “Bigger.” The song says:

  • He’s bigger than the universe.
  • He’s bigger than the issues you’re dealing with.
  • He’s bigger than any of our mistakes.
  • He’s bigger than HIV.
  • He’s bigger than cancer.

Oh MY GOD!!!

  • He’s bigger than what you think about yourself.
  • He’s bigger than you’re broken heart.
  • He’s bigger than the presidential election.

Can I tell you how I know? He HAS to be greater than the thing He created. God has to be bigger than the universe because He MADE the universe. OHHHH I BLESS YOUR NAME JESUS!!!

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Can I tell you how I know? Because Jesus conquered death! In order for Jesus to conquer death, He had to be greater than DEATH! Honey HE. IS. LIFE.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING FROM MY MOUTH?

“No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” ‭John‬ ‭10:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And since He is bigger and He is in YOU, and YOU in Him…you are bigger!

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John‬ ‭14:21, 23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Onnnnn TUHDAY and this week, when faced with a challenging situation, whatever you have to deal with; recognize the ah-ha moments.

  • When someone says something to get a reaction, say: “I’m bigger than that.”
  • When someone does something to get a response from you, say: “I’m bigger than that!”
  • Recognize the enemy, who is trying to set you up and say outwardly: “I’m bigger than that!”

Oh my Lord, I bless your name.

For I know, you’re great in all the earth.

You loved me when no one else would.

You kept me when no one else could.

SAY this with me:

I AM BIGGER BECAUSE THE SPIRIT THAT LIVES WITHIN ME IS BIGGER!

ACT Now!

I cannot change the fact that:

  • My forehead is so flat that it appears as if one little knot sits on each side, just above my forehead.
  • My calves are tiny.
  • My foot size is small.
  • There are moles on my neck and face, (of which I attempted a removal procedure only for them to return in the EXACT same place).
  • All of my children were delivered through C-sections.
  • My parents are who they are.
  • My children are who they are.
  • I was born into the Malone and Moore family.
  • That the color of my eyes and hair are dark brown.

NEWSFLASH!!!! You cannot change directions unless you realize that you are going in the wrong direction. Oftentimes we become so consumed and distracted with things that we simply cannot change. Can I be honest? The things we feel are unchangeable could very well be changed if we change our approach and our focus. If we focus on what we CAN change, learn to place (what appears to be) the unchangeable things in the hands of an unchangeable Father (by placing a prayer and a praise in the atmosphere) who can change the impossible, we learn to de-clutter our mind and focus on what is important in our lives. You control what you allow to affect you as an individual.

Focus on what you CAN change.
My forehead may be flat, but baeee baee thank God for hair that grows and the needle, thread, and hair that is used through the gifts of the hair stylists, just in case I ever run into a drought in hair growth. My calves may be tiny, but they work for my frame – ESPECIALLY, since I am fearfully and wonderfully made in the eyes of my Father. Thank God for my small feet, huntay – the clearance rack is filled with my sizes – gloray!! You must see value in YOU and the experiences you have had in life!

Change your perspective and outlook. Stop consuming your mind with others and what they are doing. Sometimes, you just have to extend the grace card and that shouldn’t be too challenging if you have the mind and character of Jesus. After all, you were given that extension.

If you can’t say something positive, sincerely pray for them. Changing your focus allows you to FREE yourself to be used by God.

  • Changing your focus allows you to be more mindful of the problem solver and not the problem creator.
  • Changing your focus allows you to re-evaluate life and observing things as they really.
  • Changing your focus allows you to be more like creators and less like victims.

At some point, we are no longer a product of our environment, but a creator of our life. You are free to choose who you are. Will you be powerful or powerless? Will you have faith or doubt? Will you believe you can do all things through Christ or will you set limitations on yourself?

Where are your current choices and actions taking you? You cannot become what you want by being who you are now! If you do not step forward, you’ll always stand in the same place. ACT Now!: Action Changes Things
